Bread & apple pudding Print E-mail

Ingredients: (Serves 4) 

14 slices of white bread, cut diagonally

8 eating apples, peeled, cored and sliced

2 tsp cinnamon

Handful of sultanas

4 tbsp caster sugar

2 eggs, beaten

300ml/ ½pt milk

Honey to drizzle

 

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C and lightly grease a shallow ovenproof dish.

2. Sprinkle the apple slices with 1tbsp sugar and all the cinnamon.

3. Arrange the bread in the dish and press apple slices in between the bread slices

4. Sprinkle with sultanas and the remaining sugar.

5. Mix together milk and eggs and pour over the bread and apples.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 mins and serve immediately drizzled with honey.
