Ingredients: 350g/12oz plain flour 350g/12oz caster sugar 350g/12oz eating apples, peeled, cored and coarsely grated 250ml/9fl oz lukewarm milk 6 tsp baking powder 2 tbsp cocoa powder 10 tbsp oil 2 eggs Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C and grease a large baking tin. 2. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and beat well until thoroughly blended. 3. Pour into the tin and bake in the preheated oven until well risen and the top of the cake springs back when lightly pressed with a finger. 4. Leave to cool, cut into squares and serve.
