Ingredients: (Serves 4) 4 large eating apples, peeled, cored and sliced 80g/3oz butter 150g/5½ oz caster sugar Juice of 1 lemon Pinch of cinnamon Ice cream to serve Chopped walnuts Method: 1. Melt the butter in a pan, add sugar and cook stirring continuously for few seconds until slightly brown. 2. Add apple slices, cinnamon and lemon juice, cover and cook on a low heat for approx 5 mins until the apples soften a bit. Leave to cool. 3. Divide the caramelised apples into serving bowls, top with ice cream and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
