Minced beef and vegetable pie Print E-mail

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

1 tbsp oil

450g/1 lb minced beef

1 onion, finely chopped

2 carrots, finely chopped

1 packet of Beef and vegetable soup

425ml/ ¾pt cold water

5 potatoes, cooked

Milk

Salt, pepper

 

Method:

1. Heat the oil in a large pan and add meat, onion and carrots.

2. Season with salt and pepper and fry for 15 mins, stirring occasionally.

3. Mix the packet of soup powder with water and add to the meat.

4. Bring to the boil stirring continuously.

5. Preheat the oven to 190°C/fan 170°C.

6. Mash the potatoes and add a little milk and seasoning.

7. Transfer the meat mixture into a casserole dish and spoon the mashed potatoes on top.

8. Smooth the top with a knife or fork and bake for 45 mins.
