Bacon and mushroom quiche Print E-mail

Ingredients:

180g/6oz plain flour

Pinch of salt

85g/3oz butter, cut into cubes

A little water

2 back rashers, chopped

4 mushrooms, sliced

2 eggs

200ml/7 fl oz milk

Salt, pepper

50g/2oz grated cheese

 

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C.

2. Sieve the flour and salt into a bowl and rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

3. Add enough water to make a stiff dough.

4. Roll out the pastry and line a flan dish.

5. Fry the bacon and mushrooms and allow to cool, then arrange them on the bottom of the flan.

6. Mix the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together an pour into the flan.

7. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 mins.
