Ingredients: (Serves 4)  400g/14oz minced beef 1 tbsp oil 2 onions, chopped 4 tbsp tomato puree 1 clove garlic, crushed 10 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced 1 pot crème fraîche 3 large eggs, beaten Splash of milk 1 tsbp chopped parsley Salt, pepper Method: 1. Heat the oil in a large pan, add onions and fry for a minute, then add the minced beef and fry, stirring, for 5 mins. 2. Add tomato puree and garlic, season with salt and pepper, add a splash of water, cover and cook for 10 mins. 3. Preheat the oven to 210°C/fan 190°C and grease a large ovenproof dish. 4. Arrange half of the potato slices on the bottom of the dish, season with salt and pepper and spread over the meat mixture. 5. Cover with the remaining potato slices, season again, cover with tin foil and bake for 25 mins. 6. Mix together crème fraîche and eggs, add a splash of milk and parsley and pour this mixture over the dish. Then bake, uncovered, for another 20-25 mins until set and golden. Serve with salad.
