Steaks in creamy mushroom sauce Print E-mail

Ingredients: (Serves 4)  

4 sirloin steaks

4 tbsp plain flour

2 tbsp oil

400ml/14 fl oz fresh cream

4 tbsp ketchup

1 tsp worcestershire sauce

Tin of sliced mushrooms, drained

Salt, pepper

 

Method:

1. Season the steaks with salt and pepper and sprinkle with flour on both sides.

2. Heat the oil in a large pan and fry steaks for 4 mins on each side until there is no pink juices.

3. Turn down the heat, pour in the cream, stir in the ketchup, worcestershire sauce and mushrooms.

4. Gently simmer for 4-5 mins and serve with roast potatoes.
