Beef Sorino Print E-mail

Ingredients: (Serves 2)  

450g/1 lb rib steak

150ml/ 1/4 pt red wine

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp mustard

1 small onion, sliced

Salt, pepper

1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp cornflour

2tbsp cold water

 

Method:

1. Cut the steak into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.

2. Mix together red wine, ketchup and mustard, pour over the meat, stir well and leave to marinate in the fridge for about an hour.

3. Heat the oil in a pan, add beef and fry till browned, then pour in the remaining marinade, add onion, cover and cook for 30 mins or until the meat is tender.

4. Mix 1 tbsp cornflour with 2 tbsp cold water and pour into the pan, stirring continuously until thickened. Serve with chips or potatoes.
