Pasta with asparagus in creamy tomato sauce |

Ingredients: (Serves 4)  500g/1 lb 2oz pasta 225g/8oz asparagus, cut into pieces (inch long) 200g/7oz bacon bits Jar of tomato pasta sauce (500ml) 250ml/9fl oz fresh cream 2 tbsp chopped parsley Salt Method: 1. Cook the pasta according to packet instructions. 2. Cook the asparagus pieces in boiling water for a few mins until just tender; drain (If you are using asparagus from a jar or tin, you don’t have to cook it). 3. Heat a non-stick pan and fry the bacon for 4 min until crispy. 4. Add asparagus, tomato sauce and cream, stir well and simmer for 5 mins. 5. Take off the heat, stir in the chopped parsley and pasta, season to taste and serve.
