Ingredients: (Serves 4)  1 tbsp olive oil 500g minced beef 1 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed 250ml/9fl oz tomato pasta sauce Tin chopped tomatoes 2 tbsp ketchup 1 tbsp dried basil 3 tbsp butter 4 tbsp plain flour 500ml/17½ fl oz milk Pack of lasagne sheets 200g/7oz grated cheese Salt Method: 1. Heat the oil in a large pan, add onion and cook for 2 mins. Then add minced beef and garlic and cook, stirring occasionally until the meat is browned. 2. Add tomato sauce, tin of tomatoes, ketchup and basil. Season with salt, cover and gently cook for 15-20 mins. 3. In the meanwhile melt the butter in a saucepan, add flour and stir well. Gradually add the milk, stirring all the time with a whisk and bring the sauce to the boil. Season with salt, lower the heat and allow the sauce to cook through for about 10 mins, stirring frequently. 4. Preheat the oven to 220°C/fan 200°C. 5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a large rectangular dish, cover with lasagne sheets (you should fit 4 sheets in a row), then spread more meat sauce and cover with another layer of lasagne sheets, then another layer of meat sauce and finally last layer of lasagne sheets. Pour the white sauce over the top and bake for 20 mins. Then sprinkle with the grated cheese and return to oven for another 10-15 mins until the cheese is golden.
