Creamy potato gratin Print E-mail

Ingredients: (Serves 4)

1 kg/2 lb 3oz potatoes

4 onions, sliced

250ml/9 fl oz fresh cream

200g/7oz grated cheddar

Salt, pepper

 

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/fan 180°C and grease a large ovenproof dish.

2. Peel the potatoes and cut them into ¼ inch slices.

3. Arrange the potato and onion slices into the dish and season with salt and pepper.

4. Mix the cream with grated cheese and pour over the potatoes.

5. Bake for approx 40 mins until the potatoes are tender. Best served with roast meats, poultry, steak etc.
