Creamy garlic potato gratin |

Ingredients: (Serves 6) 150ml/ ¼pt milk 300ml/1pt fresh cream 2 garlic cloves, peeled and sliced 900g/2lb potatoes, peeled and sliced 25g/1oz butter, softened Salt, pepper
Method: 1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/fan 160°C. 2. Put the milk, cream and garlic in a large pan. Bring to the boil, stirring, then remove from the heat and leave to infuse for 10 mins. 3. Arrange the potatoes in a large buttered baking dish, dotting each layer with butter and seasoning with salt and pepper. 4. Pour the milk mixture over the potatoes, cover with foil and bake for 45-60 mins until the potatoes are just tender. Remove the foil and bake for a further 20-30 mins until the top is golden.
