Cauliflower and broccoli soup |

Ingredients: (Serves 4)  2 tbsp butter 1 onion, finely chopped 2 tbsp flour 1.2 litres/2 pts water 300ml/½ pt milk 300g/10½ oz cauliflower, cut into florets 300g/10½ oz broccoli, cut into florets 1 vegetable stock cube 2 tsp dried marjoram Salt, pepper Method: 1. Heat butter in a pan, add onion and fry gently for 3 mins. 2. Add flour, stir well and slowly pour in the water, stirring continuously. 3. Add milk, cauliflower, broccoli, stock cube and marjoram and bring to boil. 4. Simmer for 20 mins, season with salt and pepper and serve with brown bread.
